At our Sunday gatherings for worship, you will find people who have been following Jesus for many years, some who are new to the Christian faith, and some who are exploring Christianity for the first time.
Godspeed Church aims to be a warm, welcoming community—regardless of your background, beliefs, or life situation.
Although our Sunday Worship Service formally begins at 11:00am, we invite you to join us at 10:30am for a coffee and snacks in the “church cafe.”
In our worship services, we narrate and celebrate what God has done for us and the world through Jesus Christ. We do this through congregational singing, reading Scripture, praying, and preaching the Word of God. Whether you are skeptical about Christian faith, curious about Christ, or a seasoned follower of Jesus, worship points us to what we all need: the Gospel.
Our Sunday services typically last between 80 and 90 minutes.
The environment of Godspeed Church is casual. So, simply put, come as you are.
Yes. Children of all ages remain with their family during the first portion of the worship service for the welcome, singing, Scripture readings and prayers. Before the pastoral prayer and preaching, children ages six months to 5th grade may be dismissed to age appropriate classes. You can learn more about children’s ministry at Godspeed here.
Sunday morning services include congregational singing, scripture readings, prayers, and relevant, Christ-centered preaching. We also have a brief time of corporate prayer at the conclusion of most services.
We provide a “worship guide” each Sunday that will walk you through the various aspects of the service and will give you information about what else is going on in the life of our church. Here is a sample “worship guide.”
We preach the Bible, typically by walking through books of the Bible in a sequential way (verse by verse, chapter by chapter). We believe that you’ll find in the pages of Scripture, a compelling story that is relevant to your life. You can listen to some of our most recent sermon audio on our Sermons page.
During our worship service, we aim for the voices of our congregation to be the main instrument! The congregation is our choir! Therefore, we choose songs that will be easy to sing and raise our minds and affections Godward in praise. Our songs are chosen from modern worship songs and classic hymns and are typically led with acoustic guitar, piano, and a few other instruments. Click here for a playlist of songs we regularly sing during our worship services.
